Genesis Series. Beings

I created Beings in collaboration with artificial intelligence. It is a way to combine my imagination with an unexpected take on it. AI and what it is capable of has long fascinated me — it, in its essence, combines our collective knowledge, imagination, and creativity. And even now, in its infancy can generate unlimited and rather complex outcomes

All of the new Beings are the descendants of one of my recurring characters — the unnamed purple bear featured in my artwork First Day in the Metaverse. The piece, in turn, was inspired by my early series The UnBearables, the characters of which served as symbols for climate change and other challenges humanity faces today. To me this continuity emphasizes the original themes — the inevitability of change and the fragility of our existence when confronted by larger forces.

There are 10 animated artworks in Beings series created in 2022 for the Flow3rs project that aims to offset carbon footprint with the aid of blockchain technology.

In 2023 the artwork was remixed by Olive and altered with the trending sounds of the time to pay the tribute to the social nature of the Beings and AI technology as an open-source tool for the advancement of humanity.
